Global Missions

HOPE CHURCH SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING MISSIONARIES :

Abel Family:

Director of Missionary Staff and Pastoral Care… as missionaries in the Reformed Church in America, in partnership with Remember Nhu ministry, we work to end child sex slavery through prevention.  Our primary roles include: discernment and transition of new missionaries; and provision of pastoral care, discipleship and leadership training to missionaries helping to equip and sustain them in mission.  We also provide oversight to our global child discipleship and child vocational training in addition to serving on the Remember Nhu Board of Directors.

A child, some as young as toddlers, is sold into the sex trade for the first time every 30 seconds.  Our partnership with Hope, through your generous support and prayers, allow us to fight together to end child sex slavery.  On behalf of the 14,000 children who have been assured freedom in this world and for eternity, thank you!

Grace and peace in Christ Jesus,

Rev. Bob Abel | Director of Staff and Pastoral Care

S'MORES International:

S’MORES International is a small Christian mission that focuses on programs that help people in impoverished nations improve their lives, with an emphasis on economic sustainability. We do this by providing the tools to help people improve their lives, mainly through education and small, interest-free loans, while respecting and enhancing the local economy. We believe the best way to help people is to give them a hand up, not a hand out. S’MORES International aims to make meaningful and long-term connections with the people we serve to make a lasting difference in their lives and communities.

Local Missions

HOPE CHURCH SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING LOCAL MISSIONS OF SHEBOYGAN COUNTY:

Sheboygan County Food Bank:

Sheboygan County Food Bank distributes food to partner agencies, like food pantries, in Sheboygan County that then put food into the hands of our neighbors who need it most. All food we deliver is absolutely FREE. There is no charge for food, delivery, or partner agency network membership. All food we deliver is LOCAL. We stay true to our roots by serving LOCAL families in Sheboygan County. On any given day, about 11,000 of our neighbors in Sheboygan County struggle with hunger. Each month, we provide over 70,000 pounds of healthy, nutritious, and free food to make sure that over 3,000 families don’t go hungry.

Havens of Hope:

What is it?
** A temporary housing program for families in the Sheboygan Area
School District (SASD) who find themselves without a place to live
** A rental property, the first of several, which will provide shelter to
children in the SASD for up to six months
Why support it?
** There are approximately 100 students in the SASD who are
technically listed as “homeless” at any given time
** Kids need food, clothing, and shelter to be successful in school, and
our community should be a place where ALL children can thrive
** By providing funding to defray operational costs, the Havens of Hope
mission will be able to accomplish its goal of increasing the number of
housing opportunities for at risk children and their parent(s
